BiblioWorks has opened its eighth community library in rural Bolivia.  You can read more about it over at Biblio or read about the inauguration itself here.

This is Biblioworks’ first library in 2 years, so we’re excited to see Tomina up and running and benefiting the community!  Way to go Matt and Maritza and all the folks who helped make this happen!

I have heard that Some people may know that BiblioWorks took a hiatus from building new libraries last year in order to spend a year focusing resources on its existing 7 libraries in the Chuquisaca province of Bolivia. That enabled some great work in improving the sustainability of the libraries, provide librarian training, and, of course, to put more resources and books into the libraries.

I recently started up a used bookstore online. I have books on EVERYTHING you can think of and I work hard to keep the prices as reasonably low as possible. Stop by and take a look. My inventory seems to grow massively everyday.

BiblioWorks is a great organization. Thank you for all you do. Biblio is an outstanding company for giving back to the community.
